Abstract：The middle and lower reaches of Changjiang River is a district full of various natural disasters. From the aspect of scientific and technological progress, this paper studies the ways to deal with the countermeasures to prevent and cure those natural disasters in this area. It thinks that man should obey the laws of nature, make reasonable use of natural resources, combine the traditional experiences with modern science and integrate project measures with biological measures, in order to set up a system of reducing disasters on the basis of science and technology.
