Abstract：The cells in culture were induced with heat-killed Escherichia coli strain DH5a. The antibacterial peptides which were secreted into the medium were recovered by acid precipitation, and the antibacterial activity can be detected using inhibited zone assay. Results showed that several cell strains of all can secrete antibacterial peptides such as 5B1,SF-9,Vero, 293, PK-15 and IBRS-2. Especially, those secreted by Veto cells have strong inhibitory activity against Escherichia coli strain K12D31. Tricine SDS-PAGE showed that these antibacterial peptides, molecule weight was about 7 000 Da.
