Abstract：The products distribution of liquid isomerization of 2,10-epoxypiane in the presence of NH4 NO3 was studied in this paper. The influences of different catalyst systems, solvents and the amount of solvent on the isomerization were investigated. It is discovered that perilly alcohol can be obtained in a high selectivity by NH4NO3 which is absorbed on silica gel in CH3NO2, but myrtenol was obtained as the main product catalyzed by NH4NO~ in CHCl3 and CCl3CH3.
