Abstract：Efficient spatial data management is considered as the key of Geographic Information System(GIS).With the development of technique and actual demand,the methods of spatial data management convert from Document-relational database to Object-relational database gradually.As far as an embedded system for vehicle navigation is concerned,I think that we need an Internet-based connection to download data stored on a distant sever.Data management is based on vehicle location.The vehicle is located by(GPS).This paper also refers to spatial query,Map-Matching as well as its algorithm.
