Abstract：This paper reports the results of study on the active substancesof strain 187 toxic to larva of the mosquitoes.The results revealed that thecrystals of the bacteria are highty toxie to larva of mosquitoes;The filtrateand the spores are not toxie;The living cells of the bacteria(cultured 11 hourswithout production of spores and crystals)are low toxic and the cleath speedof larva killed by the living cell is slow.It is evident that the activesubstance of strain 187 which can kill larva the mosquitoes is crystal toxin
