Entoloma prismaticum， a new record of the Genus Entoloma in China

Abstract：A newly recorded species in China， namely Entoloma prismaticum， was documented based on morphological and molecular phylogeny. Entoloma prismaticum is characterized by semi-subsurface， gasteroid， subglobular to irregular basidiomata with a pungent odor； peridium yellowish-brown to reddish-brown， basidiospores pale yellow to pale pink， 5-angled， prismatic， and 10.6 μm × 9.7 μm in size. The new discovery of Entoloma prismaticum not only enriched the species diversity of large fungi in China， but also played an important role in the systematic classification and evolution of the Genus Entoloma. The specimens examined were deposited in the Herbarium of Mycology of Hanjiang Normal University (HMHNU).
