Abstract：The retention behaviour of some flavonoids was investigated on Zorbax-DOS and Zorbax-CN columns respectively. The dompounds were separated with methanol-water-formic acid (75:25:0.1) on Zorbax-DOS and with methanol-water-formic acid (55:45:0.1) on Zorbax-CN respectively. It is possible to predict retention of the compounds on Zorbax-DOS by van der waals molecular volume (V_w) and hydrophilic parameter of substituting groups.
