Abstract：The germination experiment of 31 land fern spores under lihgt, darkness and from darkness to light conditions are reported in this paper. The results showed that almost all the spores germinated in light, except two species because of losing their viability; only Pteridium aquilinum could germinate in darkness; of the 28 species viability spores, 26 species began to germinate when moved them from darkness to light.
