Abstract：The allelochemicals from extracts of decomposed wheat residues and soil around were separated by means of one and two dimentional chromatograph respectively. Identified with fluorescence under UV light, Rf value, characteristic colour reaction and absorbing curve,it was found that at least p-hydroxybenzoic, fevulic coumaric and vanilic acids were existed in the extracts above mentioned, with a higer contentration of p-hydroxybenzoic and ferulic acids in residues extract.in addition,coumaric acid was mainly found in residue extrract. vanilic acid, in soil extract.
