Abstract:A new supramolecular complex [Zn(pydc)(Hpydc)(H2O)2]·Him·H2O (1) was synthesized by hydrothermal method. The reaction was performed at 120oC for two days, taking ZnF2 and pyridine-2,4-dicarboxylic acid as raw materials. The complex was characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction, X-ray powder diffraction, infrared spectrum, thermal stability analysis and solid state fluorescence analysis at room temperature. The results show that the complex crystallizes in triclinic, space group P-1 with cell parameters: a=7.3791(6) ?, b=10.6071(8) ?, c=13.2907(10) ?,α=81.3620(10)°, β=77.4610(10)°, γ=79.5930(10)°; V=992.06(13) ?3,Z=2. Solid state fluorescence at room temperature indicates that the complex exhibits blue fluorescence.
