Abstract:A new dinuclear nickel(Ⅱ) complex, [Ni2(L4)4Cl4·(H2O)2]·(CH3CH2OH)2(L4=pyri-dine-4-carboxaldehyde and 4-aminoantipyrine) coordination has been successfully synthesized by solvothermal treatment of NiCl2·6H2O with L4. The structure and property of the complex has been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, Raman spectroscopy, elemental analysis and TG. The results show that the complex crystallizes in the monocle-nic space group P21/c with cell parameters: a=6.4266(4)?, b=33.732(2)?, c=17.3649(12)?, α=90°,β=89.708(1)°, γ=90°; V=3764.4(4)?3, Z=2. The complex has a high thermal stability.
