Approximation model andanalysis of sexually transmitted diseases

Abstract:Sexual contact is the main transmission route of sexually transmitted diseases, which is a social relationship by sexual relations forms sexual contact network. It is more practical and accurate to establish a model to study sexually transmitted diseases on the sexual contact network.Therefore, the susceptible-infected-susceptible(SIS) model on the sexual contact network is established in this article. Using pair approximation method, the system becomes 8 dimensions system. We calculate the basic reproduction number R0. When R0<1, the disease-free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable. When R0>1, the existence of positive equilibrium is obtained under different conditions. When certain condition is met, backward branch appears. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by numerical simulation, which provides a theoretical basis for the analysis of sexually transmitted diseases.
