Abstract：Mr LI Yi mang is an excellent organizer and pioneer in the field of straightening up Chinese ancient books in the late 20th century. On the basis of abundance thinking achievements in this field, LI Yi mang regarded Chinese ancient books as Chinese national spiritual treasure. He carried out a great quantity study on the theory and practice in this field. In his practice he not only paid attention to the basic details, but also summarized new methods timely. He emphasized that the staightening up Chinese ancient books should have research achievements and the ultimate aim of this work is to make relative scientific conclusions accordingly.
