Abstract:This paper, from the perspective of Fredric Jameson' contemporary cultural studies, expounds Jameson' development and changes in his academic thought. After explaining Jameson's cultural and critical ideas, the a rticle concretely analyzes Jameson' theoretical contributions and critical pract ice in the field of masses culture, architecture and movies. It holds that James on's turning to postmodernism is the natural development of a Marxist who pays c lose attention to real life.
