Abstract：With the comparison of Japanese Geisha and Ouyang Yuqian's drama, this paper thinks that Ouyang's drama has similar characteristics with Japanese Geisha, which reflect in the following aspects; pause, mask, explaination and the separation of singing and dancing. It believes that Ouyang's ideas on drama, drama creation and drama innovation have much to do with Japanese Geisha. It concludes that grasping the features of Japanese Geisha is the first step of studying Ouyang's drama.
