Abstract：The study of the Chamber of Commerce history has attracted more and more Chinese and foreign scholars' attention in the recent 20 years, which also becomes one of the focuses in China's modern history and studies as well as promotes the progresses in city history, economic history, social history, modernized history to the great extent. Based on the relevant aspects constructed in history research of the Chamber of Commerce and new historiography, this paper probes into research angle, history explanation, theoretical thinking, and paradigm breakthrough respects in the Chamber of Commerce hisctory study, which build the academic meaning of new historiography. On the basis of above studies, the paper thinks that the basic orientation of the development in new historiography on facing the 21st century, is "general history" signed the new society history.
