Abstract:In modern China, political mobilization is a specific political concept. The launching of Sanfan Movement (The movement against the old "three evils" such as corruption, waste and bureaucracy, also known as the "Three Antis" or Sanfan Campaign) clearly displays the particular form of political mobilization in China, revealing the internal mechanism of Chinese politics. Scrutinizing the historical process of the launching, climax and end of Sanfan Movement, this paper exhibits the confliction between the superficial phenomena and substance of this campaign, the tension and combination between the policies and mass behaviors. Also, it depicts out for us how Sanfan Movement shaped some governance models, which perhaps belongs particularly to Chinese politics.
