Abstract:In this paper, based on GIS spatial analysis and econometric model, with the 445 pilot areas for comprehensive land consolidation released by the Ministry of Natural Resources as research samples, the spatial structure characteristics and the influencing factors of the pilot area for comprehensive land consolidation were explored to provide a useful reference for resource allocation and location selection in deepening the advancement of comprehensive land consolidation policy. The results are summarized as follows. 1)The national-level of the pilot area for comprehensive land consolidation shows obvious spatial differentiation and agglomeration characteristics. On the whole, it presents a distribution pattern of “more in the south and less in the north, and more in the east and less in the west”. From the perspective of inter-provincial characteristics, the distribution of the pilot area for comprehensive land consolidation across the country is relatively concentrated and clustered. 2)Most of the pilot areas for comprehensive land consolidation in China are concentrated on the southeast side of the Hu Huanyong Line, and present the spatial distribution characteristics of “single core independent, sub-centers surrounded by multiple points”. 3)The spatial distribution of the pilot areas for comprehensive land consolidation is the result of the combined effects of natural geographic conditions, agricultural production conditions, economic development conditions, policy regulation intensity, and urbanization level. In different regions, their directions and paths of influence are different. At last, the central government should implement classified and differentiated measures based on the spatial difference pattern of the pilot area, and pay attention to things such as the supporting system construction of the pilots, and its effectiveness evaluation.
