Abstract:As an important part of the three new economies, headquarters economy is an innovative development model under the agglomeration of urban industrial economy. It has become an important evaluation index of urban comprehensive competitiveness. As the carrier of the development of the headquarters economy, the distribution, type and evolution of the headquarters economy are directly related to the spatial pattern and development direction of the headquarters economy. Based on ArcGIS spatial analysis technology, Wuhan is taken as an example to analyze the spatio-temporal evolution characteristics of enterprise headquarters in Wuhan and the change of economic format of headquarters in 2010, 2015 and 2020 as time nodes, and discusses its driving mechanism. The findings are as follows. 1) The hot spots of Wuhan enterprise headquarters show a spatial evolution pattern from the central city to the suburbs, and from single-core to multi-core. 2) The scale and density of enterprise headquarters in Wuhan have increased significantly, and business forms have become diversified but producer services are still dominant. 3) The formation and evolution of Wuhan's headquarter hotspots are the result of the interaction between people and land. The historical basis, location advantages, the construction of infrastructure, the urban renewal, the transformation of industries, the improvement of traffic quality, the headquarters' effect radiation, the enterprises' set up time and industrial categories all contribute to the change of enterprise headquarters' geography pattern and evolution of the economy.
