The Essential Features of Action and Mental Causation
Action is a unique exercise method and a specific essence of human being. Analysis and interpretation of action, together with related mental causation, all are key issues in contemporary western Philosophy of Mind. From the perspective of the essence of action, the paper probes into the interpretation, argumentation and significance of the discussion on action,mental causation and its basis, the causality of mental content and so on.

On Intentionality in Social Cognition

The Modern Attributes in Guo Mo-ruo''''s Romantic Poetics in Its Early Stage
In its early stage, Guo Mo ruo's poetics has rich and comlicated connotations on the aspects of the embracement and awareness to modern attributes. His poetics spiritually has the characteristics as: high spirits of idealism, the expansion of personality, and the consciousness of hardship, self criticism, and the returning of nature as well; from the perspective of the producing methods, his poetics is full of romantics, fluent expression, and the combination of romantics and modernism. In addition, through the communication of poetics value and formalism by human being's true emotions, Guo Mo ruo's poetics constructs a poetics criticism which emphases on subjects' "discovery" and objects' "examination".

On Hume''''s Aesthetics Thinking
Absorbing aesthetics into his spiritual philosophy system, using new concepts and methods, Hume discusses some big issues proposed by modern aesthetics and pushed Britain empirical philosophy up to a new peak. He emphases aesthetics' study on emotion and thinks that the essence of beauty is the delighted feelings caused by the suitableness of objects for subjects' minds and he creatively puts forward the theory of sympathy and the theory of efficiency. Hume is the first who comprehensively expounds the field of "taste" and deeply discusses the standards of it, which represents the highest level of that time. Hume's effect on poems' creation and tragedy appreciation and his discussion on the development of literature and art greatly enrich the western aesthetics.

The Evolution of the Capacity for Culture——Some Discussions about the Relationship of Genes, Language and Culture
In history human development was deeply affected by two processes: (1) the biological process responsible for organic evolution and (2) the learning based process that accounts for cultural evolution. The former sets the physiological basis for culture, while the latter offers the most direct reason for the appearance of culture. But they are two distinct processes. Human anatomical and behavioral traits are shaped by natural selection and encoded in genes. Learning enables organisms to adjust to and take advantage of novel contingencies and opportunities independently of genetic changes and thus is the basis of cultural traditions. Culture is encoded in the brain, not in the genes. Human beings are not the only creature that possesses cultural capacity. Some primates know how to make and use tools; they also know how to communicate in sign language. Primates show a lot of social and altruistic behavior. We note, however, the culture of these animals remain rudimentary, because they cannot pass their knowledge and skills onto their younger generation via deliberate teaching or through written language; what they usually do is repeat the behavior of the older generation by following the error trial model.

On Meaning——The Hermeneutics Horizon of Chinese Classic Poetics about Form
From the concept's failure in expressing meaning sufficiently to the meaning's success in surmounting its own finite, this paper analyzes poetic meaning and form. Through analyzing the concept's failure in expressing meaning sufficiently, Chinese classic poetics posts that feelings expressed by voice and feelings expressed by image can not be expressed by concept, and as the mode in expressing meaning in poetry, the voice and the image are as important as the concept. Through analyzing the shenyun and the meaning's success in surmounting its own finite, Chinese classic poetics posts that the significance what can not be expressed by the ordinary language form but can be expressed by the image outside image or by the voice outside voice is infinite. All in all, Chinese classic poetics emphasizes that the subjectivity should consolidate super subjectivity in poetry.

During the 1930s, initiated by the Nationalists Government's Internal Affair Ministry, custom investigation and reformation was carried out in a large scale in Chinese provinces, cities and towns. This activity was intended to help the Nationalists, who had just obtained sovereignty over the nation, to conform and control the society. On the Publishing Activities of the Missionaries in China in 19th Century
Chinese modern press industry started from the press hold by the foreigners in China. The earliest foreigners were some missionaries. Before the Opium War, some missionaries published several pieces of Chinese newspaper, which was the bud of Chinese modern press industry. From the 1940s to 1990s, a large number of missionaries got involved in the press industry and the number of newspaper increased rapidly. The publishing activities of the missionaries in China had great influence on the production and development of Chinese modern press industry.

Divergence between Britain and US on Their Germany Policy
In 1930s, with the growth up of Nazi Germany in Europe, the danger of a war was nearing. In order to protect their own interests, Britain and US tried to make cooperations in diplomacy to restrain the ambition of the Reich and avoid the outbreak of a war. However, as there exists insurmountable barriers between both countries on Germany issues, neither would USlike to assume the burden of political duty in Europe, nor did Britain trust the US. Finally the collaboration ended in failure, US were excluded out of Europe affairs and Britain had to appease Germany solely. It is no doubt that this result accelerated the outbreak of the Second World War.

The Position of Rural Village-level Conference of Women Representative and Women in the Election of Villagers'' Committee
The low position of rural women in the election of villagers' committee has direct connection with the nominal phenomenon of the conference of women representative or the weakening of its function in some villages. In some places, the status of rural women and the conference of women representative in rural public right structure can be completely generalized as "powerless". Due to the shortage of social resources, the organizational advantages of women are difficult to take effect in the rural election of villagers' committee and the village administration. The weakness of self organization of villagers' committee makes women unable to form the integrated force to express their wishes.

Analysis of Sense of Participation of Rural Women in the Election of Villagers'''' Committee
According to the investigation materials concerning the rural women's participating in the villagers' autonomy in nineteen provinces, cities or autonomous regions nationwide, this paper describes and analyzes the current situation of the group sense of participating in political matters of the rural women and carries out a simple step research of the rural women's sense of participating in political matters. It points out that their enthusiasm of participating in political matters and their sense of belief in politics provides good basis for rural women to participate in the election of villagers' committee. However, rural women's sense of political effectiveness is not strong and their sense of right is weak. To change the situation, on one hand, the election of the villagers' committee needs to be standardized gradually; on the other hand, it depends largely on the great attention of the Party and the government.

Gender and Democracy: Women Participation in the Election of the Villagers'' Committee——Take Caocun Village of Henan Province as an example
Through the description and analysis of the election in villages, this paper points out that although the election of villagers' committee ensures the women's democratic right and improves their competitive sense, it strengthens men's manipulation of rights, which results from the phenomenon that the traditional cultural idea of men's right deprives women's opportunity of participating in the political matters and that the marginal position of the Women's Federation in the structure of rights in villages weakens the influence of women cadres. To change their weak position in elections, the equal status of sexual culture needs to be created; right shall be entrusted to the Women's Federation and protective policies shall be carried out among women at present.

In Chi Li's current works, there is an obvious inclination in her observing male, which can be divided into three kinds: the perspective of the female character, the perspective of the female character and the narrator, and the perspective of the female narrator. The Innovation in Bildungsroman''s Narrative Style in J. Joyce''s A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
Compared with the traditional Bildungsromen, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young man by J. Joyce shows the author's bold innovation in its narrative style. In this novel, the author narrates the story by employing the third person internal focalization. The application of this point of view realizes the absolute objective narration, creates the precedent of only narrating the story of a Bildungsroman with the narrating time approximately equivalent to the story developing time and makes less important or unimportant the story plot in a Bildungsroman. Thus, the author produces a unique stream of consciousness experimental Bildungsroman.
