0 The Aesthetic Thoughts and Artistic Expression of the Ancient Hebrew Nation
The aesthetic thoughts of the ancient Hebrew nation can be summarized as regarding God, His creative activities, and what He thinks "good" as beautiful, involving such categories as the sublime, the harmonious, the abstract, the mysterious, the fearful, the beauty of reason, etc. These God-centered aesthetic thoughts of the ancient Hebrew nation, together with the Judaist anti-idolatry, has brought about the tradition of the Jewish art that values internal emotions and imagist thinking over concrete representation. The Jewish art is an art of expression and symbolism rather than that of representation. Therefore, in the artistic history of the Jewish nation, the abstract arts, such as language and music, have made great achievements, while painting, sculpture and architecture have been dimmed.

The marginalized livelihood of peasants-workers in the cities makes them hard to safeguard their essential political rights such as the right to elect and to be elected. The delay in adjusting the way of Labor Union operation makes it impossible to protect the rights and interests of peasant-workers effectively under the circumstances that the working relations have changed greatly. The underdevelopment of social intermediary organization, as well as the weakness of group's self-organized ability, lead to the limitation of singular and time-ineffective access to the opinions expression of peasant-workers. Chinese government should make great efforts in such aspects as to reform the system of election registration, to improve the operation of Labor Union, and to cultivate the self-organized capability of peasant-workers, in order to strengthen the mechanism of peasant-workers to express their opinion, thereby achieve the objective to safeguard their political rights and social interests effectively.

0 Beyond Structure vs.Agency--An Analysis of Local Investment Policy & Implementation in Tianjin (1980-1999)
This research attempts to join the discussion on how structure and agency relate through a study of the local political economy in Northern China. Using the historical narrative method, the study focuses on the "process", as well as the actions. It examines the strategies the actors adopted and how they were chosen. The research finds that, under the mutual influence of Central Government and Tianjin Municipal Government, Tianjin chose a dual strategy to develop its economy. Central Government played a key role in this process, it argues, but Tianjin Municipal Government still had its autonomy. Because although Tianjin's preferences were close to the one of Central Government, Tianjin still had the freedom to choose its behavior way, which based on its knowledge, preference etc. Moreover, the difference of the action between the actors can rise into conflict, as well as compromise and cooperation. Whether conflict or compromise and cooperation happens at last, it depends on how deep it explores into the details of the interaction between the actors.
