At the crossing the 19th century and 20th century many Chinese showed great concerns on the new century. According to his cognition of the 20th century, Sun Zhong shan raised his famous Three Principles:the Principle of Nationalism, the Principle of Democracy, and the Principle of People's Livelihood. 0 Zhang Jian and Chinese Modern Exposition Career
Zhang Jian is one of the pioneer in the field of Chinese modern exposition career. This thesis expounds Zhang Jian's ideas on modern exposition career and his great contributions in promoting Chinese modern exposition career in details. It thinks that the exposition career pursued by Zhang Jian is one of the important career in Chinese modern history, and from which Zhang Jian's great character as both a gentry and a merchant can be seen clealy.

0 XinHai Revolution and the Reform of the Local Governor-generals in the Late Qing Dynasty
As an important component of the reform on the political structure in the late Qing Dynasty, the local bureaucratic system had changed greatly in this reform and started to transform to its modernization. However, as an adjustment of both the Center's and the Locality's benifits, the influence of the reform has gone beyond the scope of organ's structure and function and stimulated lots of mew problems. On one hand, the reform offended the present power of those local governor generals, which engendered acute contradiction between the Center and the Locality; on the other hand, in the reform, many traditional local intellectuals fostered their local consciousness and were encouraged to participate into the politics. As a result, both the governor generals and the local intellectuals deviated from the Qing Government, which extended the function of the XinHai Revolution and had great advantage over its breakout and outcome. However, the expanded localism during the course of the reform resulted in the expansion of the local regime and produced some unstable factors to the NanJing Temporary Government, which was an important reason to the loss of the XinHai Revollution's outcome.

0 On the Nation-state Theory Advanced at the beginning of 20th Century
Around 1903,Chinese new intellectuals observed and summarized the characteristics of the era from the perspective of nationalism and imperialism. Under the pressure of saving the nation from extinction and pursuing of modernity, they raised the problem of building up nation state for the first time in Chinese history explicitly. And they began to apply western nation state theory to build up Chinese nation state from the respects of sovereignty, nation and territory.

This thesis expounds the bourgeois revolutionists' propaganda?education and training on modern legality during the period of XinHai Revolution and the legislation and judicature practice after the success of the revolution. 0 On the Contradictory Progress of the Ancient Greek Spirit Ph ilosophy

Liberty and equality are two basic values of man's political pursue, which are either connected or distinct. Liberty opposes government's force, while equality may inevitably go to equalitarianism. However, pursuing liberty may bring about inequality, while pursuing equality may result in harmness of individual rights. Liberty and equality are just two twins of one mother, contradictory and checked. People's preferring to either side leads to different schools of political thoughts and different running methods on power. 0 The Main Body of Literature and Literary Ideas --A Study of the Development of Ancient Chinese Literary Ide as
Through the analysis of the connection between the main body of literature and literary ideas, this paper explores the time of the appearance of ancient Chinese literary ideas. It thinks that the Yin and Shang Dynasty are periods of time dominated by religious ideas. "The doctrine that everything is ruled by spirit" is its cultural characteristic and wizards are the main body of the culture. Western Zhou Dynasty paid great attention to the affairs of human life and reinforced the construction of ritual culture. In Spring and Autumn Period, "rite went off and memorial ceremony broke down", culture transferred to the lower class, literati became the main body of culture and learning. Confucius representative of the Confucian School emphasized the humanistic tradition and cultural books and records from the Western Zhou Dynasty, and thus developed the literary idea whose basic contents were humanistic acculturation and inculcation. It's this literary idea that became the core of orthodox Chinese literary idea, forming the characteristics of the time and people in ancient Chinese literary.

0 On Limits of Chinese Synesthesia and Its Psychological Mechanis m
A lot of studies about Chinese synesthesia have been made in Chinese academic community since Mr. Qian Zhong shu started the exploration of this rhetorical phenomenon. Based on the present investigations, this paper discusses the limits of Chinese synesthesia. It holds that synesthesia is just limited to the interaction of senses. The words for sense impressions cannot only be used in their original meanings, but also in their derivative meanings. This paper makes a thorough analysis of linguistic materials and classifies Chinese synesthesia into four kinds in terms of their psychological mechanism.
